The gym isn’t just for people who already love fitness.

At True Potential Training, we believe every person is capable of more than they realise, and the right training, community and coaching can bring it out.

We're a functional fitness gym in Invermay, Launceston, built for everyday people with busy lives. Our members aren't chasing podiums (though, some do). They're chasing energy, confidence and strength in their body at all stages of life.

To help you get more out of life with a healthier, stronger, fitter body and mind.

We do that through functional movement, mindset shifts, and the kind of supportive community that makes showing up feel good.

Whether you're just getting started or you've been training for years, we'll meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be.

What is functional training?

Functional training is designed to mirror real life: lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing, landing on your feet.

The goal is a body that doesn’t just look capable, it is capable, both in the gym and in everyday life.

To achieve this, we use free weights (dumbbells and barbells), bodyweight exercises (think push-ups, pull-ups, ring rows), plyometrics and cardio (running, skipping, rowing, box jumps).

And everything is adapted to your current level.

Can’t do pull-ups? Ring rows will get you stronger. Not confident with box jumps? Steps-ups are great! Can’t run? We have plenty of options.

Our services

Group Sessions – A maximum of 14 people, fully coached and adapted to your individual goals. Ideal for busy people who want results without wasted time. We have kids, teens, adult (16+ years) and masters (50+ years) group sessions available.

Personal Training – For personal goals, NDIS support, injury management, technique coaching, and event-specific programming (triathlons, marathons, team sports and more).

Who trains with us?

Kids, teens, adults, masters (over 50s), people with disability & even corporate teams.

No-one's too advanced to help and no one's too new to belong. Our members come to us for many reasons:

How to get started

Getting started is simple:

Step 1: Reach out. Text, email or call us to schedule a quick no-pressure call with one of our coaches to see if we’re the right fit for you.

Step 2: Book an in-person chat. Check out the gym and sit down with us to create a clear plan that matches your goals, your life, and what's realistic for you.

Step 3: Onboarding. We'll give you the tools, knowledge and early wins to start strong.

Step 4: Join the community. Settle into a training rhythm, build healthy habits, and consistently move toward your goals with regular coach check-ins.
